Art fee & mediation
At Streetianity, we believe art is more than just a product—it’s a story, a connection between the artist and those who engage with their work. Our gallery exists to help make that connection. We don’t just sell art; we create a space where artists can share their creations directly with you, the collector, in the most personal way possible.
When you purchase a piece from Streetianity, you’re buying directly from the artist. We simply facilitate the process, ensuring each piece reaches you exactly as the artist intended. Every artwork is sold in the artist’s name, reinforcing that the transaction is not just commercial but a shared vision. This is more than a sale—it’s a collaboration between creator and collector, with Streetianity supporting both sides.
In this setup, buying through us means directly engaging with the artist’s work. The artist is responsible for the creative content, while we manage the technical aspects of printing, ensuring the piece faithfully represents their vision. Should you ever have any questions or concerns about your piece, the artist is ultimately responsible. However, we’re here to help in any way we can, ensuring your experience remains simple and enjoyable from start to finish.
Understanding the Art Fee
By law, any purchase of visual art in Norway is subject to a 5% fee that goes toward the Fund for Visual Artists (BKH). This ensures the continued support and growth of the creative community. The fee applies only to artwork priced above NOK 2,000 and is added to the sales price of each artwork at checkout, to be paid by the buyer. Don’t worry—we’ll handle everything, including informing you about the fee and ensuring it's paid. We aim to keep the process as transparent and smooth as possible.
Please note: This fee is mandatory and will not be subject to any discounts applied at checkout, as it is required by law. For more details, visit www.kunstavgiften.no.
At Streetianity, our mission is simple: to make the art of street photography accessible, transparent, and deeply personal. When you buy from us, you’re not just acquiring an artwork—you’re engaging in the communication of art, where each piece tells its own story, and we’re here to help share it.
